Our customers buy “bids” in advance. They cost $0.75 each and are sold in packs of 25, 50, 100, 250, 500 or 1000. Bidders have the choice of placing single bids, or, using an electronic bid assistant called the “Autobidder”.
Every bid placed, increases the price of the product by 1, 3 or 5 cent and the auction countdown will be reset to timer interval up to 60 seconds. To help keep track of the money spent on bidding, each penny auction displays the amount spent on bids by the customer and how much the bidder would save overall, if they won the penny auction at that moment.
The winner will be announced when there are no furter bidders and the countdown reaches zero, wins the penny auction – usually at a very low price; winners save, on average, 75% when compared to the item sales price.
How can we afford such low auction prices?
Pay per bid business model means that we charge a small fee from customer every time he makes a bid and rise the auction price by very small increment like (1 cent, 3cents or 5cents) This way we can keep auction end prices low and customers happy.
